I was born and raised in Jackson, MS. After completing high school I attended University of Southern Mississippi where I studied Radio TV and Film. This was my first introduction to my life’s creative calling. Here, I learned the core basics of TV and video production. Around my junior year, I decided to leave USM to further study in-depth the art of film at Full Sail Real World Education. While at Full Sail I attained a true understanding of the film and video making process. Full Sail gave me the confidence I needed to pursue my life goals in the media industry. After completing my Associate of Science degree in Film from Full Sail, I moved to NYC to continue my studies of entertainment and media by interning with Black Entertainment Television.

Even though my stint with BET was not very long, I walked away with solid knowledge and understanding of the daily operations of a national televised show. My duties at BET included research and assisting in writing questions for Rap City and shadowing producers. Soon after BET, I found myself working as a Television Coordinator for Norwegian Cruise Line shooting and editing cruise activities. After extensively traveling throughout the Caribbean, I then decided to further my education by returning to Full Sail where I received my Bachelors of Science in Entertainment Business. During my time studying Entertainment Business I learned an array of invaluable professional and business skills such as marketing, management and new media as it relates to business. Those skills gave me the foundation I needed to be able to work independently and as a leader.

Soon after finishing my education at Full Sail, I found myself interning and freelancing on various projects until 2006 when I decided to go back to working in the cruise line industry. I then spent the next two and half years working for Royal Caribbean International as a Broadcast Tech on board several ships domestically and internationally. During my time on ships, I really honed my videography and photography skills. In between then and my current profession I did a short stint as a secretary in the production office for TLC’s Miami Ink.

In my most recent role, I work as a Rich Media Developer for Miles Media Group where I spent most of my time traveling, shooting and editing tourism videos primarily for Visit Florida.com. That role allowed me to shoot and edit videos for Louisiana, Colorado, San Antonio and New Hampshire. I was blessed to have had one of the best jobs out there.

Currently, I am a full time freelance videographer.
